Why IT and why ITS: | |
Information Technology (IT) is one of a few industries where demand for skills is stronger
than supply.
IT job market is very dynamic. Simpler jobs disappear or get outsourced. New
technologies appear on the horizon and they are not taught in colleges and
universities yet.
Internet Technology School (ITS) conducts consulting and training specializing in new
Internet technologies, in the intersection of Web and Mobile Apps, Big Data and Business Intelligence.
These skills are not included in the curriculum of colleges and universities, which are five-seven years behind industry trends.
In several months, armed with these skills, you will become a desirable contributor for many employers, big companies and start-ups.
We also help employers fight a bigger problem.
They noticed that after years of study in a college an average graduate
seems to know a lot of things but can do very little.
In a college, many separate subjects are perfectly
disconnected. Instead of supporting each other they just compete for the place
in a student's brain.
We developed an integral approach and highly effective methods of using technology in education,
tuning in to individual skills and performances.
These methods, shared at http://FixingSociety.com, make our training successful and cost-efficient.
Hot-market skills, offered by our program, are re-enforced by variety
of tightly integrated projects. Consulting experience and company connections allow us
to offer real-life tasks and help in internships and the first
steps in the industry. No IT background is required.
But if you have one, your learning curve will be a bit shorter.
Our fundamental technology is Java. Here is why:
* 90% of Big Data and Business Intelligence Applications are Java-based
* 97% of Enterprise Desktops Run Java
* 89% of Desktops (or Computers) in the U.S. Run Java
* #1 Choice for Developers and #1 Development Platform
* 3 Billion Mobile Phones Run Java
* 100% of Blu-ray Disc Players Ship with Java
* 5 Billion Java Cards in Use and
* 125 million TV devices run Java
* 5 of the Top 5 Original Equipment Manufacturers Ship Java Mini Edition
We teach Software Engineering, architecture and development of Internet
systems, including Mobile applications and Internet of Things.
Familiarity with new technologies will help you to
enter a big world of Software Engineering.

Schedule:
We start with the core of Software Engineering including:
- Critical Thinking and Software Evolution
- Processing Data with SQL and Relational Databases: Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Thinking and Programming in Java
Then, we will learn fundamentals of Software Architecture and
expand into Java-based Internet frameworks (Spring,
Hibernate and Data Services), Big Data and Mobile applications
We'll learn Full Stack of web applications:
- Front End including HTML, JavaScript/Angular, CSS, and
- Back End, including J2EE (Java Enterprise) and application servers, SOAP and REST Web Services
In the process, the students will become interns at ITS, Inc. and partner companies,
will perform their first IT projects and will get a Certificate of Web Apps Developer.
Then we start advanced study on Big Data Analytics with NoSQL Databases, such
as Cassandra and Mongo DB; will integrate with Business Intelligence and
Mobile Applications
We will touch .NET platform and have opportunity to compare C# and Java
while playing with Microsoft Visual Studio.
After successful tests and projects the graduates will receive the certificate of
Internet Application Developer.
In class and online options (begin free study and start paying when you like it):
Full-time study: 6 hours daily, Monday-Thursday plus homework and projects. If
some students cannot make it during some days, they can be virtually present in
the class via Google Hangouts with shared screens and participation in the
discussions and conversations.
Advanced training: 6 hours daily, Monday-Thursday,
startup projects with new Internet technologies for IT professionals or after Full-time study.
Part-time study: 3 hours late afternoon, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, plus homework and projects.
Online Guided Study: Online access to class materials plus homework and projects.
In all cases we offer individual remote sessions to optimize student learning experience.
ITS developed effective methods of using technology in education, such as taking
stress out of test procedures and tuning in to individual skills and performances (shared
in this article
and on that web site)
